MALTA SUPER
YACHT SERVICES, operating since 2002, has integrated
the experience and expertise of a number of local and
international managers and engineers with the skill
sets of local craftsmen and the facilities available
in Malta to obtain a unique capability for servicing
of motor and sailing yachts longer than 40 metres in
the Mediterranean.
The Yard has an
area which is totally fenced and secure and offers a
140m long, dedicated, graving dock and adjacent
facility for crew offices, project management and
dedicated shops. A 30 metre high retractable cover has
been placed on the dock for improved environmental
control and better painting and refinishing
facilities. This concept is therefore bringing
together the excellent facilities next to the new
Grand Harbour Marina with the vast engineering
experience and the unique resources of a 100 strong
skilled yacht repairing personnel.
The service package covers; engineering repairs and
installations, propeller repairs and balancing,
several surface preparation techniques, undercover
spray painting by a specialised painting team
experienced with the market leading coating systems,
teak decking and traditional joinery and life raft
repairs and certification. Work on steel, aluminium
and timber or composite hulls can be carried out
afloat or in dry-dock with a maximum of 8m draught.
Experienced
naval architects and a dedicated project management
team are available to assist in all classification or
MCA requirements, while an array of international and
local specialist subcontractors are at our disposal to
enhance our services.
